VAHPA is pleased to see strong Family Violence Leave clauses in many of our new Agreements. Have you ever wondered how this entitlement works on the ground? There are some training courses at Trades Hall on Thursday May 25 and Thursday June 22. These courses will focus on how these clauses work, how to support people experiencing family violence, and how to make sure your workplace is a safe, supportive workplace.

“Understanding how these clauses work is so important to the health and safety of workers and workplaces,” said VAHPA Organiser Carly Bald, “Family Violence clauses have proven that they save lives.”

VAHPA Members in some workplaces can access paid Union Training to attend these courses and VAHPA will provide documentation to accompany your Leave application.

Members who would like to participate in this training, or have any further questions, should contact Carly Bald on 1300 322 917 or via email: carly.bald@vahpa.asn.au
