Your Union. Your Voice. Your Election.
VAHPA is more than a union. It is a democratic community of Allied Health Professionals, built by members and governed by members. Every four years, members have the opportunity to decide who will lead our union and represent Allied Health Professionals across Victoria.
This year, elections will be held for all positions on the VAHPA Branch Committee of Management (BCoM) and for our Delegates to National Council.
The Branch Committee of Management is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of VAHPA. Subject to the Rules of the Health Services Union and any proper direction of the National Council or National Executive, the BCoM is entrusted with the management and control of the affairs of our union.
The positions being elected are:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Assistant Secretary
- Five Ordinary Members of the Branch Committee of Management

Every one of these positions plays an important role in ensuring that VAHPA remains a strong, democratic, member-led organisation capable of advancing the interests of Allied Health Professionals.

Why These Elections Matter
The strength of VAHPA has always come from the active participation of members.
Whether it is bargaining for better wages and conditions, campaigning for professional recognition, improving workplace health and safety, or growing the collective strength of Allied Health Professionals, every major achievement of our union has been driven by members who stepped forward and got involved.
Serving on the Branch Committee of Management or as a Delegate to National Council is an opportunity to help shape the future of our union and the direction of the Allied Health profession.
Even if you are not considering standing for office, participating in the election process is one of the most important ways members can help ensure VAHPA remains accountable, representative, and responsive to the needs of Allied Health Professionals across Victoria.
