Love it or hate it, social media such as Facebook is a quick and economical way to communicate with Members. Members who have been through bargaining appreciate how important it is to be able to contact their colleagues quickly and easily during a campaign.
“It’s imperative that we build our Social Media presence as it will be key component to our success in our future campaigns,” said VHPA Organiser, Jody Betzien. “This is going to be particularly true of the Public Sector campaign which involves very large numbers of Health Professionals right across the State”.

In addition to the many informative things you’ll find on our pages, Facebook also provides the opportunity to have a bit of fun whilst campaigning. “It doesn’t all have to be serious and dour,” said VHPA Lead Organiser, Linda Jenkin. “Emma and the Team have recently launched Meme Monday which is being well received at a workplace level-and in the office. Anything that demystifies ‘industrial relations’ and makes it more accessible can only be a good thing” said Jenkin.
