VAHPA Members are engaged in Protected Industrial Action at Lifeblood and Yooralla. Members at Lifeblood staged their first stoppage and event on Tuesday 27 September, and further activity is planned. VAHPA is shortly to notify the first stoppage and event in our Yooralla campaign.

The vote for a Protected Action Ballot (PABO) at Aurora Brunswick Private & South Eastern Private has a week to go and the majority participation requirement has already been met at both sites.

Industrial action is never something Allied Health Professionals take lightly however, in the face of unacceptable offers from employers and/or ongoing delays, they have little choice but to adopt the, “A little less conversation, a little more action” approach.

If you are able to support your fellow VAHPA Members in their protected action, please email us at ddpcorganiser@vahpa.asn.au

We can then let you know ahead of these actions; if you’re free on the day even a short visit would be greatly appreciated.

“There’s been a lot of “we’re all in this together” bandied about over the last couple of years” said VAHPA Assistant Secretary, John Ryan, “however, when you’re taking protected industrial action, having your union comrades stand with you makes a huge difference”
