We are very pleased to announce that the Fair Work Commission has approved our new Public Sector Enterprise Agreement. From 3 May 2017 the document is legally enforceable.
Many networks are already paying AHPs the new rate of pay and have made good on their backpay obligations. We continue to hold discussions with employers to ensure a smooth transition to the new rates of pay. The statewide roll out should be completed within the next couple weeks.
Your new workplace agreement is about more than improved rates of pay. We have secured important changes to address issues associated with workload, staffing levels, backfill of leave and recognition of advanced practice. We will be working with VAHPA delegates and members over the next few months to ensure these benefits are properly applied across the whole public sector.
