On the eve of world leaders meeting in Paris for the UN Climate Summit, Melbourne is set to hold what it hopes will be one of the biggest climate change marches to date.
On Friday November 27th, the People’s Climate March will rally for a transition to renewable energy, secure job creation, clean air, a healthy environment and a safe climate. With climate change being one of the biggest threats to human health, VAHPA believe that allied health professionals have a responsibility to demand an end to dirty power and to lobby for healthier environments, clean air and abundant and safe food and water.
Melbourne’s climate march will start at 5.30pm on Friday the 27th of November at the front of the State Library. Come along and march with your Union, and don’t forget to wear your VAHPA colours!
