No excess for new, improved Professional Indemnity Insurance

Home / Indemnity Insurance / No excess for new, improved Professional Indemnity Insurance

Members no longer have to pay any excess if they make a claim under the VHPA’s new Professional Indemnity Insurance policy.

The VHPA is pleased to announce the zero excess following a review of all insurance policies that had been negotiated by HSU East.

Previously members were charged a $1000 excess to make a Professional Indemnity Insurance claim.

There is now no charge for making a claim. You receive immediate assistance with no waiting period and no excess.

Members are covered for the full scope of practice you are registered and qualified to perform under AHPRA standards. For physiotherapists, this includes dry needling and for radiographers, cannulation.

The policy is a high quality safety net policy that meets AHPRA requirements for Health Professional employees.

Professional Indemnity Insurance is compulsory for AHPRA-registered professionals, including Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Medical Radiation Practitioners and Occupational Therapists.

To maintain your eligibility for VHPA Professional Indemnity Insurance, please make sure your VHPA membership fees and employment details are up to date.
