Yet another Agreement negotiated by the VHPA for Health Professionals has commenced operation, this time at Ramsay Healthcare.

The Agreement, approved by the Fair Work Commission, commenced on 23 May 2014. It covers a period of 3 years and 10 months with a nominal expiry date of 30 October 2016, and provides for the following pay increases:

  • 3.75% that was applied at 1 January 2013
  • 3.5% that was applied ay 1 November 2013
  • 0.1% from the first full pay period after the approval of the Agreement
  • 3.5% from 1 November 2014
  • 3.25% from 1 November 2015

The new Agreement continues to build on an already solid Agreement that provided Health Professionals with a good set of entitlements and conditions. However there was a rewrite of the Agreement, which delayed the finalisation of the Agreement, as it was necessary to take time and ensure that in rewriting clauses entitlements weren’t inadvertently lost.

The new Agreement continues to provide Health Professionals with a good set of entitlements and good pay increases – for example a Grade 2 Health Professional at the top increment will be on a weekly salary of $1,714.71 by the end of the Agreement.
