Good legal advice and lawyers who are able to win difficult cases can make a real difference to people’s lives. That’s why the VHPA has looked long and hard at which firm is best able to provide services for our members. We decided upon Maurice Blackburn and have negotiated an attractive package of benefits for VHPA members.
Situations in which you can take advantage of the Union’s legal services include:
- Unfair treatment at work
- Injuries at work
- Accessing superannuation or insurance benefits
- Road accident injuries
- Asbestos illnesses and exposure
- Injuries in a public place
- Unfairly provided for or left out of a Will
- Family law, criminal law, property conveyancing and additional services
Some of the services available for members through Maurice Blackburn include:
Free first consultation – all members and their families will receive an appointment immediately upon request. The first consultation is provided free of charge.
Free Will – all members, and their partners, are entitled to a free standard Will every five years. There is no cost to the union or members for this service.
“No win – no fee” for personal injury matters. Members will not be charged for Maurice Blackburn’s professional costs if it is recommended you proceed with a claim and are unsuccessful.
