Fight for our Rights – Nationwide Protest!

Home / News / Fight for our Rights – Nationwide Protest!

On Tuesday evening, 10 February, the Branch Committee of Management passed the following resolution:

That the VHPA condemns attacks on:
penalty rates;
the minimum wage;
unfair dismissal laws; and
the role of the Unions in collective bargaining.

The Branch Committee of Management endorses the nationwide ‘Fight for Our Rights’ rally to be held on 4 March 2015 and directs the Branch Secretary to promote the event. The committee further directs Branch staff and officials, where possible, to attend the event.

We would like to take this opportunity to again encourage you and your colleagues to join us on the day. It is vital that we take a stand to protect our hard won rights and entitlements.
