VAHPA, the Victorian Hospitals’ Industrial Association and Department of Health and Human Services are meeting tomorrow in a last-ditch attempt to break the impasse and bring about a successful conclusion to this round of bargaining.

VAHPA remains hopeful that the assistance of a mediator, one with significant experience in industrial relations, will make the difference.

Members will be provided with an update following the meeting, which is due to conclude at 4 pm.

It is vital that as many members as possible register at this link to attend the stop-work meeting on Thursday 04 August. The meeting is being held at the Athenaeum Theatre and buses are being provided.

“This is the most important meeting we have had during this campaign and we are expecting a huge turn out,” said VAHPA Secretary Craig McGregor.

“We will either be talking through an offer recommended by the VAHPA bargaining team or we will be planning to escalate industrial action in support of our claim,” concluded McGregor.
