Make June 12th a day of action for you and your colleagues with the Bust the Budget Rally starting at Trades Hall at 10.30am. Get online and share the video here and download the poster and campaign materials from the resources page of the site.
The rally follows the March for Medicare with thousands of people gathering at the State Library last Friday to let the government know that the $7 co-payment and changes to healthcare are simply unacceptable. VHPA was at the rally to show that we support universal healthcare, not co-payments (see below).
As Health Professionals are well aware, this budget hits health hard. With many Health Professionals working with low income and already disadvantaged communities, we know that this budget will have a disastrous effect on our clients and Healthcare more broadly. Make sure the voice of Health Professionals is heard by making it down to the rally next Thursday. Look out for the VHPA banners and balloons and we will see you there.
