Branch Anniversary

The VHPA is now 2 years old !

On 28 November 2012, the results of the first elections of the reconstituted Branch were announced. On that day the Branch ceased to be run by an administrator and was returned to democratic control of the membership.

Much has happened over those two years. “The early weeks and months were about recruiting the best people, putting out spot-fires, and laying solid foundations,” said VHPA Secretary, Craig McGregor. 

The Branch has grown significantly over two years and much has been achieved. “We are proud of the work we have done but we have a long way to go yet and a lot of ground to make up, particularly in the public sector.”

“Its an exciting time to be involved in the struggle for workers rights,” concluded McGregor.
