Craig McGregor has been the Secretary of the Victorian Allied Health Professionals Association since 2012 and has a strong commitment to social justice and ensuring people working in allied health professions are treated with dignity at work.
Craig has been a qualified radiographer for almost 20 years, working as a Senior Radiographer at the Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospitals. While working mainly in the public sector, Craig has also spent periods working overseas and in private practice. He also has an Honours Degree in Arts (Social Science).
Through working in healthcare and being active in the Union for many years, Craig McGregor has a strong grasp of the industrial and professional issues facing Victorian Health Professionals.
Craig first joined the Union in 1993. Craig has been involved in supporting every EA campaign at Footscray Hospital since 1993 and was on the bargaining team for Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations in 1998. Craig has prepared cases for Fair Work Australia and as a workplace delegate, he regularly negotiated with management and advocated on behalf of members in disciplinary hearings.
Craig McGregor was elected Secretary of the Union in late 2012.
