COVID-19 Disability Sector Response
The Health Services Union (HSU) National Office has been representing the Victorian Allied Health Professionals Association (VAHPA) and other HSU branches on a joint working group around issues and responses to COVID-19, specifically in relation to the disability sector.
This group includes the HSU, the Australian Services Union, the United Workers Union and the National Disability Service – the peak body for NDIS service providers.

We wish to emphasise that VAHPA is aware of any changes which are impacting Allied Health Professionals and we would encourage you to email us regarding this. This will enable us to advocate as to what measures need to be put into place to assist this Sector during and beyond the COVID-19 crisis.
We note that many Allied Health Professionals reading this will not be in the disability sector, however; because this involves the NDIS and because there are Allied Health Professionals across a range of sectors working in the NDIS space, we have chosen to make this information more widely available to all VAHPA members.
