- Classification: Grade 2
- Salary: $92,943 to $106,836 plus 12% superannuation
- Reports to: Senior Industrial Officer and Branch Secretary
- Team: Member Response Team
- Location: Carlton, with responsibilities across the state. Travel, both intra and inter-state, may be required on occasion.

THE ROLE
VAHPA is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional for the role of Industrial Officer (Member Response) on a 12-month and 18-day fixed-term basis. The term is from 11 May 2026 until 28 May 2027. This role is vital in providing high-level support and advocacy for our members and upholding the principles of solidarity within allied health.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide strategic guidance, industrial expertise, and high-level advocacy for members on complex workplace issues.
- Represent VAHPA members in workplace disputes, grievance procedures, and before relevant tribunals.
- Maintaining accurate records to ensure transparency and accountability.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- A strong commitment to the objectives of VAHPA, to fairness and social justice, with the ability to foster member engagement and solidarity.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial relations, including interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation, as well as being aware of relevant case law.
- Proven experience in representing members in industrial and legal forums.
