vic-map3A COMPREHENSIVE program of regional visits to ensure Health Professionals across Victoria have direct access to their VHPA Organiser will continue this week in Warrnambool and the south western district.

Health Professionals at Lyndoch Living will meet with Linda Jenkin, VHPA Lead Organiser on Wednesday 28 August in Warrnambool.

The Lyndoch Health Professionals find themselves in a similar predicament to those working in the stand-alone Community Health Centres in that since being ‘carved off’ from the Public Sector Agreement they have been left hanging with no new Enterprise Agreement and no pay rise.

Worse still, they are being left waiting while their employer’s bargaining representative, the VHIA, dawdles and delays a settlement in the Community Health negotiations.

Our message to Lyndoch management is very similar to our message to Community Health employers.

Our members want to bargain. They don’t want anything unreasonable, they want a fair Agreement which improves their working conditions and reflects their worth and the value they provide the community.

The VHPA has members at other workplaces in Warrnambool and visits are also being arranged at other worksites in the south western region including Colac, Hamilton and Portland.

If you’re a Health Professional in this area and would like to meet with us, please contact VHPA Lead Organiser, Linda Jenkin on 1300 322 917.

Upcoming regional visits with Health Professionals are also being planned for Gippsland (September 10-12), Loddon Mallee (September 17-19), Grampians (October 1-3) and Hume (October 8-10).
